FAQ (User’s Manual)

1． How to SEARCH…？
1.1 SEARCH PRODUCT
Suggestion:		Please try another way again from the pull-down menu if found no results by one SEARCH method.
Several methods are provided such as search PRODUCT by its name, chemical name, trade name, synonyms, CAS number, UNSPSC code, molecular formula.
Product Name				The most common way for SEARCH product.
Trade Name				Help you easily find the owner or authorized dealer of a certain brand of merchandise.
Synonym(s)				If a product is registered in the site using this name, while the visit searches it by another name, then he still fail to find the result. Chemonline.cc provides different names for the same product to convenience SEARCH, and avoid not being found for a product already existing in the Site.
CAS No.				Search for chemicals using CAS Numbers (Chemical Abstract Service). Use dashes and avoid preceding zeroes. Search by CAS number can easily and accurately find a given chemical substance.
UNSPSC				The E-catalog based on UNSPSC（United Nations Standard Products and Service Code） allows computer systems to automatically list similar products and services under a single subcategory, which ensures precise searches.
Use desired end product to find intermediate				Due to its long chemical name, no other short name or identifiers, it is inconvenient for an intermediate to be searched or marketed online. We attempt to set up a correlation between the intermediate and its desired end product, so you can search the corresponding intermediate by the name or CAS No. of the desired end product.

1.2 SEARCH CATEGORY
If you wish to know:
	· Whether a subcategory already exists in the Site, and the similar products and services under such category; or,
	· Under which subcategory a certain product or service should be when you plan to ADD PRODUCT or POST Trade Lead, there are following two ways for you to choose.

From Root Category					If you know under which Root Category a certain subcategory should be, then you may start from this Root Category, and search step by step till find the location of the given subcategory.
By Keyword(s)					For example, enter surfactant or 1216900 and start search, which will lead you to the SURFACTANT subcategory.

1.3 SEARCH TRADE LEADS
Category/subcategory					Under which (sub)category a certain trade lead should be
Type					The type of a certain trade lead, including Sell, Buy and Info.
Subject					Search by keyword(s) from the subject of a certain trade lead.

1.4 SEARCH News
Topics/items					View News according to News topics .
Search News					According to issuance date, or the keyword(s) in the title or the content of the News.

2．How to register?top
Enter REGISTER page					(1). Join Now button at the top of each page .
					(2). Register button at the bottom of each page.
					(3). Become a member in Member Center page .
					(4). Registration button located at the top left area on HOME page.
Registration Steps					(1). Select membership type( Basic, Standard, Corporate).
					(2). Fill in registration information, where “http:// ” is required for website address, e.g.：http://www.chemonline.cc
					(3). .After registration is complete, Basic Member(free member) may press Login button, and separately enter username and password to reach Member Center, while paid member need to wait for the auditing from the webmaster. The system will automatically return back to HOME page if receive no any instruction within 8 seconds.

3．How to add product or post information?top
How to enter Member Center			(1). Fist, become a member, directed as under <2. How to register> above.
			(2). After registration is complete, Basic Member(free member) may press Login button, and separately enter username and password to reach Member Center
			(3). Login button at the top of each page.
			(4). Separately enter username and password, and then press Login button at the top left area on HOME page.
			(5) If you have logined, you may enter Member Center from any other page by press Member Center button at the top Navigation Menus. Otherwise, it will remind you to login first.
Update company info and password			You may upload company’s LOGO when you update your company information.
Post or update Trade Leads and view feed back			Add			Please select category, subcategory and type (sell, buy and info) firstly.
			Update			Modify, delete posted trade leads.
			Feedback			View detailed feedback to a certain trade lead.
Add or update product info			Add			Step 1	To check whether the product to be added already exists in the Site’s database?
						Step 2	(1)	If yes, select the product to be added by click “□”，and then fill up “Add Product” form.
							(2)	If no, select correct category and subcategory for the product to be added firstly, then fill up “Add Product” form.
			Update			Modify or delete product info.
Post Exhibition			Post, update or delete exhibition message.
Add or update intermediate			Add, update or delete intermediate. Please fill in the name and CAS number of the desired end product to provide a royal road for INTERMEDIATE search.
Select Web Store Templates			Ten templates with different designed styles for your choice or replacing discretionarily. We will design more fine templates in the near future to satisfy you, or develop more personalized template on your request.
